Use Inspiration to Simplify Your Life

Did you know you have 24-hour access to the source of inspiration? Did you know that the solution to your most pressing problem already exists? Can you imagine how much easier life becomes when you hone your access to this powerful realm of ideas and wisdom and answers?
Welcome to the world of inspired living.
A world where you are only one inspired download away from the answers you need.
A world where you enjoy more confidence and calm because you know you have access to a mighty storehouse of life-enhancing ideas or problem-solving remedies.
A world where you get to experience daily, maybe even hourly, access to miracles, mystery and the delightful humour of life’s magic.
This world is available to all of us, all the time.
All we need to do is to hone our access to inspiration.
In creative circles, inspiration is the holy grail. Geniuses throughout the ages have studied and pursued this magical, miraculous, mysterious source of ideas – all with their unique take on precisely how it works. (Or doesn’t.)
But inspiration isn’t only for creative people – ideas are also the stuff of real life. And great ideas can help make everyone’s life easier and more enjoyable.
In my own life, my inspired nudges have been a fabulous boost to my creative adventures, but they’ve also led to many successful improvements, advances and happy outcomes across my whole life.
From the big issues such as career, relationships, health and finances, to the more everyday tasks of cooking, chores and self-care.
For example, I imagine I’ve saved countless hours of looking for things because I’ve learned how to get that flash of insight that ‘mysteriously’ helps me remember where I filed that important document or where I left my keys.
And this is a skill that’s available to all of us – all that’s required is, I believe, a willingness to practice and an open mind.
I’ve been fascinated by the mysteries of inspiration since I was a teenager, and even though I’ve spent decades studying it – it’s still a beautiful mystery!
But since we tend to seek what we find, I have discovered that there are patterns
There are simple ways to be more open and ready to receive those divine downloads. And they bring a delightful magic, ease and flow to life. It’s a way of living that I am so grateful to have been blessed with, and part of its charm is that it inspires me to share the goodness.
So, if you’d like to invite a little more inspiration into your life, here are my top 3 tips for being more easily inspired, more often.
Notice new thoughts
To begin, simply be on the look-out for any new and unusual thoughts. We are creatures of habit and we have habitual thought patterns – thinking the same thoughts day after day. Scientists believe the majority of our daily thoughts – maybe as much as 80-90%! – are the same thoughts we had yesterday, and the day before…
But creativity and inspiration are about the new, the novel, the untried and unknown. So make a mental note to try and notice any new thoughts – these could be the voice of inspiration trying to get your attention.
And the way you find out is…
Follow your hunches
Imagine the source of your inspiration keeps calling you, over and over and over – yet you never respond. How strong do you think that voice will be? Compared to all the other voices you hear all day long – from your family, your community, the media, the world at large, even your own inner critic.
One way to receive inspiration more easily and more often is to pay attention to it by not only noticing its whispers – but taking action on them. When you notice new ideas, play with them, explore them if you feel called and/or brave enough – see where they lead.
This is Inspired Action and it’s becoming known as the magic key for efficiency and results in modern success theory – many a millionaire will claim that trusting their gut, following their hunches is the secret to their fortunes.
Admittedly, it can be unsettling to take bold leaps of faith, especially when you and your inspiration are just getting back together. So, while you are learning to identify the voice of inspiration, just experiment with easy, simple ways to follow any inspired ideas.
Practice in small ways that won’t make or break your happiness. Trusting your inspiration is like a muscle that can build and grow with practice and use.
So feel free to just begin in easy, comfortable ways. And for bonus points, keep a playful and curious approach – the creative spirit loves to play!
Track your results
Take note of how things turn out when you follow you inspired nudges. Although the beauty and mystery of the grand design is that we often don’t know how one simple action leads to a different result in the future, sometimes we can trace back the line of cause and effect.
As Steve Jobs famously said; you can only connect the dots looking back. For example, you may see a clear link between that ‘random’ hit to call a friend and the new job opportunity that ‘just happened’ to come up in conversation.
Keep an eye out for these serendipitous touches of inspired magic as you follow your hunches. Not only will you hear and trust your inspired ideas even more – you’ll also find that you receive them more often.
So, I hope you’ll explore these 3 simple steps and discover the power and magic of inspired living.
Have fun and feel free to try these new practices across all areas of your life.
Inspiration can help with everything.
